As a qualified and registered Nutritional Therapist and NLP practitioner, I work with clients 1-1. Offering fully personalised programmes to help stressed, tired and busy people to improve their health and wellbeing giving simple nutrition and lifestyle advice to create new healthy habits that fit into your lifestyle.
My clients tend to be lacking in energy, willpower and time and just want to feel like ‘themselves’ again. I am all about making long term sustainable changes, I use my experience as an NLP coach to develop new healthy habits, create a positive relationship with food and address issues with willpower. I want to give you clear, simple advice that will help you to learn what to eat, but also give you the structure and support that you need to stay on track.
Functional testing refers to tests that may be ordered by a Nutritional Therapist or other healthcare professional to attain more information about the state of your health. These can be for nutrient deficiencies, food intolerances, hormone profiles and so on. They are usually either a finger prick or saliva tests but sometimes a blood draw may be required. Any testing is totally optional and will be explained fully to you.
This is a common area of confusion. A dietician follows NHS and government guidelines and usually works in a hospital. The title Nutritionist is not protected and anyone can use it regardless of their level of qualification. When choosing the right nutrition professional for your needs it’s important to check their credentials and ensure they are registered with a professional body such as BANT.
Before your consultation you will be sent a health questionnaire and food diary to complete and return before the consultation itself. During the consultation we will discuss your medical history, current diet and lifestyle. We will explore how nutrition could help you improve your health. The course of action is determined by your specific needs and an individual programme will be created in order to ensure that any interventions will easily fit into your current lifestyle.
I believe very much that our nutrients should come from food first and supplements should only be used where necessary and not for long term use. Sometimes I may recommend a specific supplement that I feel will benefit you but it is optional as to whether you decide to purchase. I am not affiliated with any one supplement company and will recommend the one I feel is best for you.
